I have received email notices but nothing in the mail. Aren't
you going to send out invitations?
If we have a valid email address for you (email hasn't been returned)
we are assuming you have received your invitation and we
won't be postal-mailing anything. If you require a postal-mailed
invitation, please contact Linda.
We are using email as much as possible because we'd rather spend
money on the event rather than on stamps!
What is the date for the reunion main event?
The main dinner-dance will be held on October 16. This is absolutely
positively confirmed.
What other activities are planned for the reunion weekend?
On Friday evening, October 15, there will be a cocktail party
in a suite at the Doubletree. The cost is $10 and will include
snacks and drinks.
On Saturday afternoon, we have scheduled a tour of Cupertino High,
led by teacher Wes Morse who has written a book about the
school.
On Sunday morning we are planning a couple of brunch get-togethers.
One is for members of our class who served in the military.
The other is for anyone who cares to attend. The location
of these brunches is yet to be determined (as of 9/19/04),
we'll let you know in the next email message.
I'm not planning on bringing anyone to the reunion, will I feel
out of place?
Absolutely not! Many of us are coming by ourselves -- you'll find
plenty of old friends to talk to.
Why was the date changed? I originally saw it scheduled for November
6.
The date was selected before the entire committee was able to
meet, and it conflicted with plans of several of the local committee
people and so needed to be changed.
What is the "dress code" for the dinner-dance?
Casual. You don't need to get all dressed up unless you want to.
Come as yourself!
Are there cheaper hotels in the area?
Yes, Sharon Casella has information on some cheaper alternatives
to the Doubletree. (Contact her by
email here)
How is the reunion committee selected?
The reunion has always been handled by the same team of people.
A few new faces have recently been added, and we're looking
for others to be involved. If you want to be included on
the committee for the 45th reunion, contact
Virginia or Sharon.
Who has designed this wonderful website?
Virginia Rawak Bruce, and she's looking for work! Visit my website
at teamweb.com and contact
me if you need consultation or production help with your personal
or business website.
I plan to keep the site up indefinitely – it's for the class,
not just for the reunion.
