Ella Irene Davidson

Sometimes you have a friend who's so dear, so good, she impacts your life in such a way that no matter where you are in life, the memory of that special person remains with you throughout your lifetime -- such is the memory of my friend, Ella Irene Davidson. Irene died one day and one month before the birth of my eldest son, Brian.

Irene and I as well as a number of other CHS classmates all lived within a block or two of each other from the time we were about 8 years old, sharing wonderful times in Brownies and Girl Scouts, long lazy summers, and fun-filled years of high school until we graduated from our beloved CHS -- then, on to San Jose State or Foothill or wherever it was that "life" was taking us - we remained friends until the sad and tragic day that she was "taken" from us, in a vehicle accident.

Irene always had a warm, welcoming, infectious, smile for everyone she encountered. She was loyal, loving, and kind to all of us.

To this wonderful friend of ours, I honor her memory with this tribute:

"A friend is someone who knows all about you, but loves you just the same."
