Guidelines for photo submission

Please submit your photos for the site as soon as you can. We would like images that are at least 300 dpi (that's 300 dots-per-inch) and at least 6 inches, or 1800 pixels at the maximum dimension (width or height). If your images aren't that big to begin with, we'll do our best with them, so send anyway. Either jpeg or tiff files are fine, please send no other file formats without checking with Virginia.

If your images are prints, mail them to Sharon Casella Ashton (address below)

If your images are digital files, there are several ways you can get them to us:

• You can use our online upload form (right now it only loads one-at-a-time, but we're working on that)

• You can email them to Sharon as an attachment (address below)

• You can mail a CD-ROM with the image files on it

Please give us a caption for each photo. The picture upload form has a place for this. If you email the photos, please email the captions indicating the image file title. Example:

We can't promise to use every image. Some images just can't be made high-enough quality to display. If you have a picture that is poor-quality but important to you, let us know and we'll make an extra effort to make it viewable.

We are also looking for videotape. If you shot video, contact Virginia to find out how to share it.
